More about James

James comes from a farming background. Having grown up on a dairy and wine-grape farm in the Boland and doing his schooling at Paarl Boys High, the rhythm of agriculture has always been part of his life. He completed a BSc degree in Microbiology and Honours in Ichthyology at Rhodes university. After 18 years of aquaculture farming, he decided to explore the potential of agricultural real estate and in 2004 joined Pam Golding Properties as a specialist farm agent in Paarl. Being so well acquainted with the area and soundly understanding the ins and outs of farming, his success as an agent was inevitable. After ten years with Pam Golding Properties, he joined the Harcourts Winelands team, heading up a dedicated agricultural division. Backed by the company’s exceptional technology and back-of-house support, he has gone from strength to strength, quickly becoming a top agricultural agent.

Whether it is a lifestyle property, a mega commercial farm, a smallholding or something niche and boutique, his knowledge is extensive and this he willingly shares. He believes that a good, open relationship with sellers and buyers is key to matching people and properties perfectly. This ‘match making’ is one of the things that fuels his drive to engage with property owners and potential buyers. If your ideal property is not already on his books, James will find it for you. His office is in Paarl Main Road and, although he is often on the road between farms, he will be happy to take your call and assist you in finding the property that is perfect for you.
