More about Pieter

I wrote my first Estate Agents Affairs Board exam in 2007 and completed my SANQF4 qualification in Real Estate in 2011, going on to complete my PPRE status in 2013.

I’m not an estate agent, I am a Professional Practitioner in Real Estate - it took years of commitment and study to become one. I have sold hundreds of properties and gained valuable experience over the years. My tract record over more than 30 years in the Services Industry has proven that I am a motivator and a people’s person. I love what I do.

I started my career with Eltec Properties, and after 5 years joined Pam Golding Properties. After 7 years I identified that there is gradual but definite change in the Property Industry in terms of marketing and ways of operating. The culture at Keller Williams was the perfect fit for me to flourish in my career in this dynamic industry.

I understand and appreciate that every seller would like to achieve the best price possible in the market at the time of selling the property. If my seller is not in a rush to sell, I am always willing to enter the market at a little higher price than expected by my evaluation. But if the buyers’ reaction is such that the property is not moving at the price – adjustments to the price will have to be made accordingly. Staying on the market for too long also adversely affect the property’s appeal to buyers. Obviously if a seller is in a tight spot and needs to sell urgently one cannot apply the same methodology – then the price has to actually be spot-on in order to affect an urgent sale. All variances need to be factored into the pricing strategy.

One of the strongest advantages of giving me your house to sell with a Sole Mandate is the fact that I would be willing to include active and reputable agents from other agencies in my marketing efforts and as such invite them to bring buyers through to facilitate a faster sale for you. It means that I have to share commission with them, but again - my sole purpose is to assist you with an expedient sale. And by doing it this way, you - the seller only deals with me and not a myriad of agents and you have only one "For Sale" sign in front of your house.

Should you know someone who wishes to put their home or business on the market in SA, please let me know - if they live too far from me (I’m in Westdene, Johannesburg) I have access to a national network of agents that will assist. I don’t mind sharing my commission with another agent if it helps selling a property faster.I always keep a keen eye on the progress and development during the transfer process – from acceptance of the offer to the final hand-over to the new owner. It’s in my interest to look after your interests and that a successful sale and transition to registration is accomplished.

What every buyer should know before signing an Offer to Purchase
09 Sep 2024
An Offer to Purchase (OTP) is a legally binding agreement between a buyer and a seller in a property transaction. Once both parties sign the OTP, it finalizes the terms of sale, including the purchase price, property description, and any special conditions. Buyers can withdraw under certain conditions, but doing so without meeting the terms may lead to penalties. It’s crucial for both buyers and sellers to review the document carefully before signing to avoid legal and financial complications.
