More about Norah

My Real Estate career started in Welkom in the Free State where I was offered a position by a lady called Elona Soll.

I always had a passion for property so when I arrived from London with my Irish husband who had bought a Dental Practice in Welkom this sounded like an awesome idea.

I know I had to find something to do being a very active person and being in such a small town this sounded like the best job to suit my personality. Previously I Ice Skated as a Professional in Ice Shows around South Africa and the world. I travelled extensively around the globe as that was one of my other passions. I worked in London for the South African Embassy for over a year in the events department which was also awesome. I modelled in London for Ronald Models and did various other marketing jobs in stores to promote products.

I was very successful in Real Estate in Welkom and worked for Elona Soll's Real Estate for seven years. It was a very friendly town and I was very well known. I loved my job and the people.

After leaving Welkom I had two children and we arrived in Johannesburg so did not work for a few years as they were young. I then decided I needed a career so was offered a position in Vodacom in the Customer Experience Division and worked there for twenty years and nine months. I took a package last year and decided to go back into property which I really enjoy and have not looked back.

When it comes to selling a home, every property owner dreams of securing the best possible price. Unfortunately, one of the most common mistakes sellers make is setting the price too high. Thinking of selling your home privately? What South African sellers should know
25 Nov 2025
With the rising cost of living and tighter bank lending conditions, many homeowners are looking for ways to cut costs when selling, including the idea of avoiding estate agent commission by selling privately. While this may seem like a way to keep more money in your pocket, the risks in today’s market are far higher than most people realise. A private sale can quickly become expensive, stressful, and legally risky if you’re not fully prepared.
