Joan is a qualified and seasoned social worker with over 15 years experience in both Government and Private sector. She subsequently developed passion in business and moved from formal employment to being a businesswoman and an entrepreneur within the hospitality industry where she established Bothakga catering services. The business exposed her to extensive knowledge in the food management industry. Here diligence, expertise and professionalism within the industry led to her company in 2004 appointed as BEE partner of Fedics food services where she further acquired extensive knowledge in industrial catering and food management at a larger scale amongst some of her achievements

ABOUT BUSINESS GROWTH

Bothakga Caterers expanded from small scale catering to Canteen Management, catering for government, corporate, kiddies’ parties, baby showers, weddings and over all events management. Bothakga prides itself with the quality of décor that they do which includes flower arrangements and draping for all occasions. This is demonstration of business acumen, dedication and passion for growth.

EXPANSION TO FACILITIES MANAGEMENT

With the realization that with food and décor is facilities where high standards for health and environment must me maintained at all costs, Joan explored the facilities management opportunity. To capacitate and align herself with industry best practice, Joan acquired a Diploma in Facilities Management, Certificate in Green Economy. These qualifications extended her knowledge of property management including management of Property rentals
