Chris Friderichs

I grew up on a farm outside Port Alfred and spent ten years at boarding school in Grahamstown. After earning a Diploma in Nature Conservation from Saasveld in the Western Cape, I returned to the family farm, where I spent 16 years managing cattle and running a commercial beekeeping operation. Today, I work as a Professional Hunter during the winter months and as a beekeeper in the summer, giving me a broad network of contacts in the agricultural sector both locally and internationally. I have a passion for agribusiness and have always been interested in agricultural real estate. I have travelled the Eastern Cape extensively and gained an understanding of its farming communities and the various income streams applicable to certain areas of the Eastern Cape. I now live in Grahamstown with my wife, an economics lecturer at Rhodes University, and our two daughters.
