KwaDukuza (also known as Stanger) is a town in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. In 2006, its official name was changed from Stanger to KwaDukuza; however many South Africans continue to use the name "Stanger" today.
KwaDukuza-Stanger serves as the commercial, magisterial and communication centre for the large sugar-producing district.
In February 2018, the town opened the KwaDukuza Private Hospital, the second major hospital in the area after the Stanger Provincial hospital.
In September 2018 the 29000 sqaure metre KwaDukuza mall was open.
Stanger lies inland from Blythedale Beach.
The weather here is typically tropical and humidity high, hence the sugarcane; and bottlenose dolphins use the sea as their playground throughout the year.
