St Helena Bay – This stunning area consists of 18 charming bays, each with unique names like ‘Hannasbaai’ and ‘Vioolbaai.’
Favored by yachtsmen and canoeists, each bay offers its own allure, featuring breathtaking sea views and vibrant surf. It’s a popular spot for walkers, who often have the chance to observe various dolphin species, cormorants, and the African Black Oystercatcher nesting along the rugged coast.

As with other parts of the West Coast, the landscape bursts into color with vibrant wildflowers in spring, following good winter rains.
Notably, Saint Helena Bay is the only location along the West Coast where the sun rises over the bay, as it faces northeast.
Additionally, you can visit the charming Beacon (often mistakenly referred to as a lighthouse) at Stompneus Point, which marks the western entrance to Saint Helena Bay.
