About Me

Experience

I have spent a large portion of my working career in the property market – 8 years working for a building society working exclusively with mortgage loans, and since 2001 as a real estate agent.

Over the years I have gained invaluable experience in all aspects of real estate – sales, marketing, legal as well as the legislative aspects.   Clients have approached me on many occasions prior to selling or before they undertake major renovations or alterations for advice on current market trends and in many cases the advice given prevents them from falling into the trap of possible overcapitalising.

Technology

Technology is vital in our industry and we are proud to say that at Keller Williams we have access to the latest technology to the advantage of our sellers and buyers.

I however feel strongly that technology should never replace the personal touch.   We use the technology as a tool only and adapt it to the needs and preferences of our clients – after all our clients differ greatly in age and technological skills.

Expertise

In the 20 years I have been in real estate, I have gained experience in all aspects of real estate – this includes free standing houses, clusters and residential estates, sectional title units as well as retirement complexes.

In the everchanging market it is imperative to remain up to date regarding marketing and market trends, sales, legal and legislative requirements. I regularly attend seminars and lectures to keep up to date with the latest articles regarding our profession.

I have also mentored several fellow agents who have placed their trust in my opinions and judgements.

Communication

Communication with all parties involved in a real-estate transaction is of vital importance to me. This communication is done on a continual basis and is structured to my client’s needs.

I undertake to guide you through all the stages of the buying and/or selling process,  building mutual trust and alleviating the anxiety of uncertainty.

Clients for Life

As a result of our emphasis on client service, our clients have become friends for life.   We are often approached for advice regarding real estate matters and clients often refer family members and friends to us.

Awards / Recognitions

During the years I have received a number of awards and recognitions, however,  the recognition I have received from friends and colleagues throughout the years has been extra special. Being approached by fellow colleagues, friends and clients for assistance and guidance is to me the greatest recognition of all.

Personal

My husband Neil and I have been married for 43 years and have 2 daughters Melanie and Cathy.   8 years ago, Neil joined me in the real estate profession and we have worked together as a team ever since.

Our first home was built in Port Elizabeth and in 1983 we moved up to Johannesburg and settled in Roodepoort.   After 38 happy years in Roodepoort, we decided to return to PE as our family and many friends are resident here.   Throughout the years we visited PE on a regular basis and feel at home here.

I have a BA degree with Languages and Psychology as majors and have also spent a number of years in the human resources and training fields.

My hobbies include needlework, gardening and reading.   Being in real estate, I am also very interested in interior décor and take a special interest in staging a home to assist the photographer in showing the home to the best advantage.

My Commitment to You

I commit to walking with you throughout your real estate journey – from beginning to end - having your best interests at heart and giving honest continual feedback and support.

Sellers. I will assist you in preparing your house for marketing, the actual sale thereof and with all the legal and legislative aspects until registration. Furthermore, I will assist in the final handover and advise in matters concerning municipal accounts.

Buyers. I will assist you in finding an ideal home, the organising of finances as well as giving guidance through the various legal stages and finally, I will be there when you move into your new home.
