As the farm is situated in a reserve there are some basic regulations.

Albeit that all the rules are clearly stipulated in the Constitution and Management & Conduct Rules, there are a still a few FAQs (frequently asked questions) fielded that we've experienced. We share a few of these with answers hereunder:

 Will I be allowed to keep a few sheep and/or chickens?

Sheep will not be allowed as keeping same will clash with the game ranching activities.

Keeping a few chickens will be allowed providing they are fenced-in and housed within your

2 hectare exclusive use area. Cognisance should be taken of jackal and other predatory

carnivores roaming freely on the Ranch.

 Will I be allowed to grow vegetables near my dwelling?

Yes, for household purposes only in your private area (exclusive use area). As wild animals roam the Ranch it will be necessary to fence your veggie patch.

 Will I be allowed to keep household pets?

Yes, providing you adhere to the rules of the Ranch.

 Will I be allowed to hunt on the Ranch?

No, individual hunting is not allowed. The animals on the Ranch are there for the enjoyment of all the members. If the animal numbers become excessive the Farm Owners Association will invite members so inclined to take part in an organised and elegant cull to reduce numbers.

 What will my annual Levy be?

The levy, which proceeds will be applied to roads and fencing maintenance as well as water reticulation to the distribution reservoirs is R 760 per month. The FOA may impose a special levy if members should want the Ranch to perform infrastructure improvements like communal bomas, picnic areas and so on.

 If I should build my dwelling a distance away from an existing service road within the ranch, will a road be constructed to it?

No, it is each owner's own responsibility to construct a simple two track road from an existing service road to his dwelling.

 Is there water on my farm?

There are 3 reservoirs on the Ranch, situated on the highest points available. It is each individual

owner's responsibility to reticulate water from the reservoir to their dwellings. A relatively cheap 25mm HDPE pipe will be sufficient to do the job. There are contractors who will assist with the laying of such pipes..

 How expensive will my rates and taxes be?

The Ranch enjoys agricultural status which is subject to a modest tax regime - only a few Rand per hectare.

 Do I get free title to my farm?

Yes you do. This is not a share block, fractional or sectional title scheme and is one of only a few developments of this kind where you get unfettered freehold title to your farm.
