Build your dream bush home in Balule, Greater Kruger Park, within a share block reserve that is 3,030 ha in size and traversing of 9,000 ha. With only 50 shareholders you will own one 50th of the 3,030 ha and a custodian of Africa’s finest wildlife. The reserve is declared a protected Nature Reserve under the National Environmental Management Protected Areas Act, 2003. This gives protection from human exploitation including mining or farming. The land claim has been settled and restitution and settlement has been made.
The building site is one of 38 that are located with privacy and stunning views. This stand is along a ridge with only two neighbours, one on either side and 100 meters away. There are unhindered views of this unique habitat, rolling hills of the Olifants rugged veld, a transition zone between the north and south of the Greater Kruger. There is no requirement on when to build and this is the last remaining undeveloped site. There are architectural guidelines to ensure the quality and status of the reserve is maintained. The home can be built within a 26-meter radius from the allocated point. The reserve rules are structured to ensure the least impact on the environment and maintain the integrity of the Kruger environment as well as the allowing shareholders exclusive use of the land for game drives and a special game viewing experience.
Olifants North Shareblock has a centralised management system to take care of the day to day running of the reserve. A house would be a lock up and go with excellent security and will be fully serviced with power and water. Owners are free to drive the reserve in open game vehicles and are not restricted in terms of the time of day or night. There is a reserve club house with pool, patio, toilet and braai facilities for shareholders to meet and hang out during the heat of the day or over major sporting events. A share on this reserve will also allow a shareholder to access the neighbouring reserve across the Olifants river for game viewing as well as access to their clubhouse.
This is the largest amount of traversing one would get in this area for game viewing and a very exclusive shareblock. Usage of the homes is purely for the shareholders and very immediate family under strict rules. This ensures that usage of the reserves in minimized and for shareholders, increasing the feeling of exclusivity and ensuring that each game encounter is enjoyed to the maximum extent.
