Guernsey nature reserve is located in the heart of the bushveld, in close proximity to the Kruger park’s Orpen gate. It is made up of 17 properties, each approximately 21 Ha in size with plains game roaming freely between the properties. This property shares the boundary fence with Thornybush Private Nature Reserve. Sighting of big 5 game along the fence line is a regular occurrence.
There are two houses on the property which are both set in a beautiful garden with magnificent trees. The main residence is a large, modernised 2-bedroom wooden house. It consists of a large open plan lounge and dining room, large kitchen with separate scullery and a wrap-around veranda. The lounge and bedrooms all lead out onto the veranda from where you can enjoy the beautiful views of the garden and bushveld beyond. The main bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, lots of cupboard space and a walk-in closet. The second bedroom has a separate bathroom that can also serve as a guest cloak. All rooms are airconditioned and has ceiling fans.
The second thatch house has 2 bedrooms, both with en-suite bathrooms. There is an open plan lounge and kitchen with a breakfast nook. The large covered patio is perfect for outdoor dining and there is a boma area, overlooking the bush and waterhole. The cement dam is being used as a swimming pool.
Other structures on the property includes, a rondawel that can be turned into an additional outside guest room, large carport with enough parking for 5 cars, store room, staff accommodation. Water to the property is supplied via a borehole and power via Eskom. The immediate homestead is fenced with an electric fence with an automated access gate.
There is also the option of completing the building of a tented camp in a secluded area of the property. This property could be run as a commercial lodge.
