Faerie Glen at a glance

Family lifestyle, convenience and quiet suburb living are just a few ways to describe the Pretoria East suburb of Faerie Glen.

Situated on the southern slopes of the Bronberg Mountain, Faerie Glen is an established suburb with tree-lined streets and large leafy gardens. Although the area is quite large, it functions much like a village where residents do not have to drive very far to shop, eat out or be entertained.

The popularity of the area is also driven by the ease of access residents have to major routes leading towards Centurion, Sandton, and O.R Tambo. This allows residents to commute easily on a daily basis, affording them the opportunity to have the best of both worlds - quiet suburban life and economic prospects.

The suburb is very family-orientated with a slew of top schools to choose from Woodhill College, Maragon Private School Olympus and Hoërskool Garsfontein are just a few dotted in and around the suburb.

Apart from shopping centres such as The Grove Mall in close proximity, residents looking for a more outdoorsy activity can head out to the Faerie Glen Nature Reserve where birds are in abundance amongst the stunning flora. The Leaky Tap Brewery has also made a name for itself in the suburb. This craft beer brewery started s a dream for four childhood friends and became legend when they became the brewers of Pretoria’s first craft beer!

Property in Faerie Glen ranges from older, established homes to newer developments and townhouses. It is a perfect area to put down roots in and you will find many long-time owners who have raised their children here.
