The Eastern Cape suburb of Port Alfred, situated located halfway between Port Elizabeth and East London, boasts fabulous beaches, world-class golf courses as well as a small boat harbour. Heny says that due to the fact that demand is generally fairly quiet before and after the peak festive season in December/January, RE/MAX Kowie usually has a variety of quality homes within the Royal Alfred Marina available at rates suitable for most pockets. “An average marina home of three or four bedrooms would be available at approximately R1 500 per day, with a minimum of a two day booking in quieter times. Over Easter, expect to pay R2 000 per day with a minimum of four nights to be booked. In peak December season, bookings of fewer than 10 days are generally not allowed,” he says.
The more expensive homes are those set on double size plots with their own pools and those with extensive and high quality entertainment areas, premium positions or those offering accommodation for up to 12 people.
