Affordability, security and views at new Wellington Development

A new secure residential development has been launched to market in Wellington in the scenic Boland region of the Western Cape.

Set on the town’s urban edge, “Stadsig Private Estate” will offer free-standing homes with contemporary Cape Vernacular architecture, sold on a full-title basis.  Pam Golding Properties has the exclusive mandate to market the project, with prices starting from R745 000, inclusive of VAT.

PGP’s manager for the development, Louise Varga, says the location offers the best of both worlds – an idyllic setting amid rolling farmland, yet within easy reach of the town’s amenities such as schools, shopping and recreational facilities.  It is also easily accessible to Cape Town International Airport and the rest of the Winelands.  “Stadsig is situated on the road heading out of town towards the famous Bain’s Kloof Pass, one of the most renowned scenic routes in the Boland,” she says.  “The homes will enjoy panoramic views of the Haweqa mountains and a relaxed semi-rural atmosphere amid landscaped gardens, while still being located within a secure perimeter with controlled access and 24-hour security.  This will be a modern carefree lifestyle – making Stadsig the ideal place to raise a family, or to retire to or downscale after one’s family has left home.”

The project is a joint venture between landowner Bommelstein Development and Combined Developers, the latter being a reputable firm with an established track record of secure estates in Cape Town’s Northern Suburbs and the Boland.  Stadsig will ultimately consist of a total of 137 homes, clustered in seven different phases. Phase One, currently launching to market, includes 26 erven, with a wide variety of design options ranging in size from 58sqm to 254sqm.  Buyers can choose from 13 different styles including both single-storey and double-storey homes, with either two bedrooms, three bedrooms or three bedrooms and a study.  All homes will have their own enclosed back gardens and fittings such as granite kitchen counters and black steel braai-fireplaces.  Optional extras include automated garage doors and additional lighting and data points.

Construction is already underway and a show-house has been completed.  The first transfer of properties is anticipated in mid-2013, with occupation expected by October the same year.
