A Langebaan landmark has been sold

One of Langebaan’s most popular eateries will soon serve up its last meal, and the bustling restaurant kitchen will give way to laid-back family cooking in its new guise as a holiday home.

Froggy’s Restaurant, a popular landmark in Langebaan, has been sold by Pam Golding Properties for R1.6 million. It will now be converted for use as a family holiday home.

“Froggy’s” opened its doors in 1998 and over the past 16 years, has earned a reputation for outstanding Thai curries and warm West Coast hospitality. After the owner decided to close the restaurant, it was put on the market through Pam Golding Properties late last year (2013).

PGP agent Vicky Verity sold the property over the festive season for R1.6 million, and it will close its doors at the end of February (2014).
The new owner intends to convert the quaint West Coast cottage into a family holiday home, making the most of its location just a block back from the waterfront, in a quiet residential area.
