Chas Everitt International opens second KZN office

The consortium launching the Chas Everitt International brand to KwaZulu-Natal has opened its second franchise in the province at Umhlanga.

This follows the opening of an office in Ballito in July and will be followed by a third office in Berea in October. Two more offices, one in Hillcrest and one in Margate, will be opened early next year.

Consortium head Roger Dixon, who is personally overseeing the implementation and operation of these first five KZN franchises, says the property market along the coastal belt is undergoing enormous changes. “There is a discernible wave of development moving northwards.

“Umhlanga is becoming the new pivot point instead of Durban. There is huge commercial development taking place here, especially as far as the automotive and service industries are concerned. The opening of the Gateway Centre in Umhlanga Ridge has also stimulated growth.

“This has resulted in buyers who would traditionally have bought residential property in Umhlanga now casting their net further northwards, and inland as far as Pietermaritzburg.”

However, Dixon says, the franchise will initially focus on the residential market in and around Umhlanga before venturing into commercial and industrial developments.

“The province offers big opportunities in all types of development and our consortium encompasses extensive local expertise in both developing and marketing residential projects, which will be augmented by the knowledge resident in the new Chas Everitt International specialised development company.”

Chas Everitt Developments offers landowners and developers a comprehensive package of services from initial conception through planning and construction to handover of the completed project. The company is the first local property group to offer such a service.

The thing about the property ladder is that at some point in our lives we all have reason to want to climb a rung or two higher. Sometimes it’s because our circumstances have changed, and we’re taking care of elderly parents or relatives. Sometimes, it’s just because we want a property that reflects the financial status our hard work has won.
