Buyers keen on new Stellenbosch estate

“Consequently, we are expecting a swift sell out,” says Kobus Jordaan, principal of leading local estate agency Nationlink Somerset West, which is marketing the estate.

Stellenvista Estate offers 10 exclusive stands ranging in size from 1723sqm and 3382sqm - which are large even by Stellenbosch standards - and competitively priced from R3,05m to R3,65m including VAT.

The state-of-the-art security provisions for the estate include a fully fenced perimeter, 24-hour patrol by guards on quad bikes and access via imposing electric sliding gates.

Set on a 7,8ha site that includes 5ha of vineyards that will be in full production by 2008, Stellenvista offers a unique country lifestyle less than five minutes’ drive from the Stellenbosch CBD. Plots are being sold on freehold ownership basis with each buyer receiving a 10% share in the vineyards, and Jordaan says an agreement between the developers and well-known winemakers means they can rest assured that the vineyards will be well maintained.

Stellenvista is idyllically positioned between the mountains and in secure surroundings, overlooking a national heritage site consisting of beautiful Cape Dutch buildings, dams and horses. “This is truly one of the most beautiful settings the Boland has to offer,” Jordaan says.

It is also close to Stellenbosch, which is the second-oldest town in South Africa, and internationally renowned for its beautiful environment, many places of interest, wine farms, street cafes, restaurants, quality wines and historical buildings.

It appeals primarily to upper income buyers, who Jordaan says are businesspeople and professionals who require a rustic yet secure environment in which to settle down with their families. “The excellent selection of schools, the university and colleges are major draw cards for the growing family,” he notes.

The Stellenvista plots have already had various services installed including stormwater drainage, sewerage, water reticulation, electricity, paved roads and Telkom connections. Construction of the architecturally designed homes, governed by aesthetic guidelines, is also ready to commence. The houses range in size from 400sqm to 600sqm
