Bona View development launched in Big Bay

Lew Geffen Sotheby's International Realty launches the Bona View development in Big Bay this week, where 28 of the 71 units available have already been sold.

The seaside development consists of one, two and three bedroom simplex and duplex units ranging in size from 138 to 204 square meters, with garages, and priced between R1.3 million and R2.9 million. The development offers 24 hour manned security and spectacular secured views of the Atlantic, Table Mountain and Robben Island from most units.

Dave Jennens of Lew Geffen Sotheby's International Realty Blouberg says, “Bona View is a 250 meter walk from the beach and just over the road from the development, a convenient shopping complex, "The Seaside Village", has been established, providing a hand picked variety of shops, cafes and restaurants.

“The average price per square meter is R 11 800. By way of comparison, along the Atlantic Seaboard, bordering the Cape Town metropole, a development of the same quality and in a similar location could easily cost R 30 000 to R 40 000 per square meter – which illustrates the great value still to be had in the Blouberg/ Big Bay area.

“MLH Architects, whose work includes the V&A Hotel among other high profile developments, have designed modern, spacious seaside homes which compliment the laid back, nautical atmosphere of the Big Bay suburb.”

They describe Bona View’s architectural style as "contemporary modern" with clean lines and neutral colours that blend with the natural surroundings to create a timeless feel, not bound by any theme borrowed from outside SA.

“All the units are orientated toward the classic view of Table Mountain and this also renders the spacious decks and patios delightfully wind-protected zones. Intentional design with low rise in front and higher to the back of the site, ensures that every unit has a view over the units situated at the front of the property.”

Jennens says high quality finishes from which buyers can choose include porcelain floor tiles and granite worktops and a large variety of configurations and unit sizes cater for a broad range of buyer requirements.

“A 10 % deposit secures a property in Bona View with transfer expected in June/July 2008

Developers MXN Construction and JOTA Construction plan to start the building process in January 2007 with completion aimed at mid 2008.”

Things you should consider before upgrading to a new home
23 Apr 2018
The thing about the property ladder is that at some point in our lives we all have reason to want to climb a rung or two higher. Sometimes it’s because our circumstances have changed, and we’re taking care of elderly parents or relatives. Sometimes, it’s just because we want a property that reflects the financial status our hard work has won.
