Auction emphasises keen interest in Durban C and I property

Three central Durban properties, suitable for commercial and industrial purposes, were sold for a total of R10 million during a recent auction conducted by Dave Oldacre of MaxProp and held at MaxProp’s headquarters in Bulwer Road.

The properties were 68-82 Williams Road, 64-66 Woodford Grove in Stamford Hill and 84 Berea Road.

Oldacre says the Williams Road deal involved five consolidated industrial properties, Woodford Grove mini-factories and Berea Road two separate properties.

Oldacre said anticipated prices were achieved that generally reflected the current positive market sentiment, especially for industrial property.

"A great deal of interest was expressed particularly from investors keen to get a foot in the door of the commercial and industrial property scene.”
