Some of the most valued citrus and cane farms in the country will be submitted for auction by Auction Alliance KZN comprising 15 farms stretching from Marble Hall to Mkhuze/Pongola and Eshowe.

The farms form part of the well known Company known as Hippo Asset Management which went into liquidation during March this year. The company specialised mainly in the export market.

The main auction of all the farms will take place tomorrow, September 7, on the main farm approximately 14km from Eshowe on the road towards Melmoth.

For the convenience of the Marble Hall potential purchasers, an auction venue has been arranged in close proximity of the Marble Hall farms to be auctioned from which venue purchasers can directly participate in the auction taking place in Eshowe.

The farms all comprise complete infrastructures, established citrus and sugar cane as well as papayas and macadamias. All packhouse equipment include modern and sophisticated washing and grading lines and all irrigation equipment.

The farms enjoy an abundance of water supply through natural rivers, boreholes and authorised canal systems.

Massive interest has been shown from all over the country as well as from foreign buyers. Hein Hattingh, Auction Alliance KZN Managing Director, says that property of this nature and extent comprising over 3 000ha of prime irrigation land and established citrus and sugar cane rarely comes into the market.
