Victorian charm meets modern living in sought-after Seaforth
One of the oldest homes in Simon’s Town has come onto the market exclusively through Pam Golding Properties – but despite its 140 year-old history, buyers can expect more modern comfort than Victorian frugality. PGP’s area manager for the South Peninsula, Sandi Gildenhuys, says the home traces it history back to approximately 1870, when it was built as a single-storey residence for the town’s first pharmacist, one Mr Miller. “At that time,” she says, “Simon’s Town was enjoying fairly rapid population growth, as people flocked to the town seeking work associated with the ever-expanding British Royal Navy Base.
