David Patrick has been a trusted name in the South African property industry since 1980, when he joined his father’s business, Ed Patrick Estates, operating from humble beginnings in Pietermaritzburg. Over the decades, the company has grown into one of the leading real estate firms in the region, built on integrity, expertise, and long-standing client relationships.

With more than four decades of industry experience, David combines deep property knowledge with a forward-thinking approach to modern real estate. Education and professional development have always been central to David’s career. He holds numerous industry qualifications, including the Certificate of the Institute of Estate Agents, Diploma in Advanced Property Practice, Certificate of Residential Specialist (SA), and National Diploma in Real Estate from Technikon SA. He is also a registered Professional Associated Valuer and has been appointed by the Minister of Justice as a Sworn Appraiser.

Throughout his career, David has facilitated the sale and valuation of property worth hundreds of millions of rands and has received multiple industry awards through Harcourts for outstanding performance and service excellence.

Outside of real estate, David is a devoted husband to Jenni and proud father of two sons. He is passionate about health, the outdoors, and endurance sport, having completed numerous Dusi Canoe Marathons and Comrades Marathons — reflecting the discipline and perseverance he brings to both life and business.
