More about Akasanee
Obtaining over 23 years of working experience, I have come to understand a lot with regards to cultures and respects of people. I’ve also challenged different working environments... and conditions.   I have started my career in debt collections, covering tracing, telephone ethics and administration. I’ve entered the corporate retail environment with Truworths LTD in the year 2000. I worked as a front office admin clerk thereafter worked my way to back office administration. Added to me was the responsibility of weekend supervision handling all aspects of cashing and banking? Multi skilling myself into the floor I have learnt sales, visual marketing and merchandising as well as all procedures and carrying out of stocktaking and security.   In 2006 I have joined EHL holdings as an Admin Manager holding the responsibility of running all receiving and dispatching. Here again multi skilling into cash office and assisting the sales team with closing of profitable sales deals. Merchandising exclusively and using innovative marketing skills has helped me achieve sales budgets for the store. Since African bank took over EHL in 2008 it gave me great pleasure of becoming an African bank sales agent where I had the opportunity to learn all procedures and granting of loan applications. I have ended my career in 2012 as a trainee sales manager due to branch closure.   In the year 2012 I choose to be transferred to Unitrans specialized goods advancing my career in logistics. I have worked there 2 years as a GRA clerk and as usual hungry to learn more assisted my supervisors with daily reports. Apart of all my daily duties I have also been trained and certified as a she Q representative. I was also elected by the committee to represent all Indian females in our working environment.   In 2014 however our company was badly affected due to African bank. EHL has had a business rescue plan in place and this has put a strain onto Unitrans to shut down Cato ridge DC and retrench all staff on the 30th of October 2014 including myself.   I have worked for the SA Maritime School and Transport College from January 2015 to January 2017. I was employed in Marketing and Academic’s I proudly follow and administer all procedures and policies. Marketing this unique college was a pleasure I love the career evenings, company visits and enjoy what I was born to do however due to branch reconstruction I had no choice as my contract has expired with them.   In March 2017 I joined SEEFF properties as a rental agent and when this no longer worked for me I walked into Keller William’s Realty as an intern agent. I am really enjoying the training programmes and I have also been lucky to earn a Bursary to do my NQF level 4 qualification to reach status of a Real Estate Practioner.    I have been busy recently with a number of short courses, namely: Introduction to web development Foundation in blogging & content marketing Digital marketing Social media marketing Diploma in Excel I have done a short course in life coaching 101 with new insights   I am ever willing to learn new concepts & ideas & believe that I have the ability to strive vigorously towards a goal or objective. I am a creative & self-driven individual who would thrive in a flexible & dynamic company with room for growth & development. I am eager to learn & develop, & welcome the opportunity to change & broaden my horizons in any way, shape or form.
