Sales exceed R75 Million at Andringa Walk

More than 30 apartments have already been sold at Andringa Walk, with buyers including owner-occupiers, investors and a world-class cricketer.  

Pam Golding Properties (PGP) reports that sales in the new Stellenbosch development have now passed the R75 million mark (as at end October 2012).  Construction will commence soon, with completion anticipated by the end of 2013.  This means that buyers should be able to take occupation of their brand new apartments from January 2014.

PGP’s Sales Manager for the development, Louise Varga, says the prime location on campus in the heart of Stellenbosch, attached to the Eikestad Mall, is proving to be a major draw-card.  

“The location makes this the ideal home for students studying at the University of Stellenbosch, as well as for businesspeople working in the town or commuting here on a regular basis.  Most of our buyers to date intend living in the apartments on a permanent basis or using them as their occasional home when they are conducting business in the Cape Winelands.  The opportunity to ‘live, eat, play and shop’ in one location is proving very popular.”

Among the purchasers at Andringa Walk is cricketer Dale Steyn, currently ranked as the world’s number one test bowler.  He will use the apartment as his home base in Stellenbosch, between tours with the Proteas, Nashua Cape Cobras and Deccan Chargers.  Varga says the secure modern lifestyle on offer was particularly appealing to the sportsman, whose career requires him to travel frequently.  “Not only is Andringa Walk centrally located for his practices and games in Cape Town and the Boland,” she says, “but there will be a Virgin Active gym located in the building’s two floors of retail space, where he can work out at his convenience.  The excellent security, with 24 hour concierge and private elevators, also means he can lock his door and go on tour with great peace of mind.”

In addition to the gym, Andringa Walk’s two retail levels include a Woolworths and a Food Lovers’ Market.  Residents will also enjoy direct access into the Eikestad Mall with its multiple shops, movies, restaurants and other entertainment facilities.

The remaining apartments still available for purchase include bachelor units as well as one, two and three bedroom layouts.  Buyers can also choose from a few duplex units or garden apartments.  Prices range from R1.4 million to R3.35 million, inclusive of VAT.
