Secure rural lifestyle attracts upmarket buyers to winelands

The prestigious Winelands Estate continues to attract upmarket buyers to its idyllic setting in the Berg River Valley, between Paarl and Franschhoek.  

Pam Golding Properties (PGP) reports that it remains a sought-after address for both established and up-and-coming families and young couples.  The secure estate consists of 35 freehold erven, all generously sized between 4000sqm and 1.1ha.  Every property is privately located within its own portion of either vineyard or olive grove, and the homes enjoy panoramic views of the Simonsberg and Du Toitskloof mountains.

PGP area manager Surina du Toit adds that the location is extremely convenient, offering easy access to Paarl, Stellenbosch and Franschhoek, as well as excellent schools.  “The private Bridge House school is close by, while there are a number of other quality alternatives for both primary and high school children in the neighbouring towns,” she says.  “There is also easy access to the N1 highway for those who need to commute to the airport or to Cape Town, which is only just over a half hour’s drive away.  And for those who love wine, there can be no better address, as immediate neighbours include world-famous wine farms such as Backsberg, Vrede en Lust and Rupert&Rothschild.”
