RE/MAX launches product to attract international buyers

Pioneering new territory when it comes to online property listings, property giant RE/MAX recently launched a global property listing search portal.

This now gives potential buyers from across the globe the opportunity to search for properties worldwide while in the comfort of their own home. Buyers from different countries will be able to browse through listings of thousands of properties in their own selected language of choice and in their local currency.

“Sellers choosing to list their property with a RE/MAX agency will now have the added benefit of their property being exposed to qualified buyers across the globe, which will give them a unique competitive advantage in today’s market,” says Adrian Goslett, CEO of RE/MAX of Southern African.

While is essentially an accumulation of all the RE/MAX property listings worldwide, it is also a remarkable lead generation, marketing and recruitment tool. The site, which supports 32 languages and all currency, currently has over 681 000 active listings. RE/MAX of Southern Africa has successfully populated the site with over 25 000 South African properties, a number which is steadily growing on a weekly basis. To date more than 143 000 000 pages have been viewed by approximately 585 000 unique visitors, who have collectively viewed 1 300 000 listings. Over 2500 leads have been generated globally from the site to date.

Visitors to can search for both residential property and commercial property. The site also features a news desk, so that browsers can read articles and update themselves on current news on both the residential and commercial property front. There is also a link to featuring property news clips posted by RE/MAX.  RE/MAX is currently working on further enhancing the search features and updates to the site. New developments will include a listing description translation, which will be integrated with Google translator, as well as a photo gallery.

“This is a truly innovative concept that RE/MAX has brought to the table in order to provide their clients with a better service and a much wider exposure to buyers on a global scale. It is no wonder that RE/MAX sells more real estate in the world than any other brand. When a seller lists with RE/MAX, they have advantage of dealing with an international network of real estate professionals. RE/MAX has offices in over 85 countries and has just been recognised internationally by JD Powers in a survey as the leading real estate organisation in customer satisfaction. The implementation of cutting-edge technology such as bears testimony to this, Goslett concludes.
