Invest in Burgersfort

This according to Elsa de Bruyn, owner of the local RealNet franchise in the area, after rental prices has risen considerably due to demand being bigger than supply.

“Apartments with two rooms could easily be rented at R5500 per month, while townhouses with three bedrooms go for between R7500 and R9000 per month. A house in the area, when available, starts at R9000 and could move up to around R20 000 per month depending on the size of the house.

She continues: “new properties are being brought to the market which are 152 square meters in a complex with a pool for sale at R950 000, these could in turn be rented out at R8500 per month”

In security estate such as Leopard’s Bush, Spekboom River Estate and Motaganeng Estate there is a wide variety of erven for sale with a starting price of R220 000. For investors who are interested in more upmarket units there are still erven available in Swallow’s Crest.

“Prices of properties in these estates ranges from R950 000 to R4 million. So there is a wide variety of homes which could fit your pocket.”

“It doesn’t look like the demand for houses in Burgersfort will dwindle soon. An estimated 7500 houses are still needed over the short- and medium term, due to the projected growth of mining industry in the Sekhukhune area” she concludes.
