A shortage of quality accommodation – particularly one and two bedroom units - in the Umdloti and Umhlanga areas, coupled with the ongoing extension and popularity of the areas north of Durban is seeing the La Mercy area increasingly sought after among home owners.
A new 24-unit, sectional title development, La Bleu, situated right on the beachfront in La Mercy and comprising one and two bedroom apartments priced from R635 000 is ideally suited to meet this demand, says Elwyn Schenk, area principal for Pam Golding Properties.

He says these new units will appeal to investors and end-users alike, with one bedroom apartments with one bathroom very competitively priced between R635 000 and R655 000 and two bedroom, two bathroom units priced from R1.155 million and R1.235 million (all prices include VAT).  All the two bedroom units include patios and most apartments have expansive sea views. The finishes are of a high quality and units include granite kitchens.
A 10 percent deposit is required and completion of the project is anticipated towards the end of 2010.
