New Chas Everitt franchisee for Vanderbijlpark

The Chas Everitt International property group has re-opened its office in Vanderbijlpark with a brand new team.

The franchise rights have been awarded to Jannie Pelser, who will also function as principal of the agency and the office is already up and running at its new premises in Hendrik van Eck Boulevard.

Pelser, who has a professional background in personnel management, says property is his life-long passion. “I had a short stint in the industry before taking up a career in personnel management and have kept up a personal property portfolio through the years.

“When the opportunity arose to acquire the Chas Everitt Vanderbijlpark franchise, I decided to dive straight in – apart from the fact that I will return to my passion, I believe the current cycle of the market creates great opportunities for the future.”

Pelser says he judges the present as a good time to enter the market since there are signs that the cycle is turning and that better days are ahead. “We are noticing definite signs of a turnaround and even in the short time that the agency has been in operation, interest among buyers has picked up noticeably.”

The office will initially serve the Vanderbijlpark market but Pelser plans to exercise his option to open satellite offices in nearby Vereeniging and Meyerton in the course of next year.

“We are currently appointing agents as we need to increase the size of our team to do full justice to the property needs of sellers and buyers in our franchise area,” he says.

Vanderbijlpark offers a wide variety of residential properties, says Pelser, with prices ranging from about R350 000 for starter units up to around R13m for top properties on the banks of the Vaal River.
