Get ready for upcycled container living in the Maboneng Precinct

Launched in 2014 and designed by Lot-Ek Architects, the Propertuity led project was completed in September 2017 and is now open for occupation.

Using upcycled ISO shipping containers and situated in the trendy Maboneng precinct in Johannesburg, the Drivelines Studios urban development, is the latest in a growing trend to repurpose shipping containers into affordable housing solutions.

Drivelines is the first multistorey apartment block made up of multiple containers and will reportedly cost around R4,900 a month in rent. The project was developed over an existing single story structure that used to be a car repair shop.
