Rotating skyscraper in Dubai might become a reality

Architect David Fisher unveiled a design for a skyscraper in 2008 that seemed to wild to actually be reality but now it seems that this crazy rotating building might actually be built.

It is almost been 10 years since the “Dynamic Tower” was first revealed and it really isn’t surprising that it hasn’t been built but now it has reportedly been slated for completion by 2020 in Dubai, in advance of the World Expo that will take place that year.

The 1,378-foot-tall tower will be powered entirely by renewable sources, including solar panels on the roof and dozens of wind turbines concealed between its rotating floors. With Fisher claiming the finished building will produce as much as 10 times the amount of energy it consumes.

Inside, residents will be able to set the speed and direction of their floor’s rotation, all by voice command. If this bonkers futurustic tower actually gets built you can expect to pay $30 million per apartment - yikes!
