The office is situated in the Bridge Park office complex in Century City, Cape Town and was designed by dhk Architects as part of an undertaking between the Rabie property group and Growthpoint Properties.

Bridge Park is located in a new section of Century City, the same section in which the Century City conference center lies and was certified as a 5-star green building by the Green Building Council of South Africa (GBCSA)

According to Doug Walker, CEO of Absa in the Western Cape, the decision to move to Century City was a business decision to consolidate various offices, Century City being the obvious choice.

“It has benefits for both employees and clients as well,  as it will promote better teamwork between different teams and business units, which will lead to increased productivity and office culture.”

“The connection between where you work and how well you work is becoming clearer. ‘Great Places to Work’ - an international expert on high-performance work culture, says that companies where employee-wellness is viewed as integral, perform much better than their competitors on the stock market,’ adds Walker.

Absa joins the likes of Chevron, Vodacom, and MTN that has regional head offices in Century City.
