Huge demand for new homes in Kuils River in Cape Town sees launch of new development

A huge demand for brand new residential developments in Kuils River in Cape Town’s Northern Suburbs has seen the launch of Die Wingerd Security Estate by the same developer, De Kuilen Trust, who previously successfully brought three adjoining residential developments to market, namely Rosemary, Thyme and Deo Gracia.



Marketed exclusively by Pam Golding Properties, Die Wingerd Security Estate comprises 69 single, freehold residential houses being sold on a plot and plan basis and accessibly priced starting from R1.899 million including VAT and with no transfer duty payable. The development is situated in the suburb of Eensgevonden, in close proximity to Saxdown and Langverwacht Roads.
Only 30 minutes’ drive from Cape Town, Kuils River is situated in what many refer to as the ‘Gateway to Cape Town’s Wine Routes’, close to the historic and world-renowned town of Stellenbosch.

Says Psotta: “This is an eco-friendly estate and the benefits of energy and water saving will be to the advantage of residents applying Die Wingerd’s simple but effective design principles. These incorporate the use of solar water heating and energy saving light fittings, maximum utilisation of shade, including the planting of trees, shutters and deep reveals for sun control and insulated roofs.

“Die Wingerd is ideal for people already living in the area upgrading to new or larger homes, or those wanting to relocate to this convenient area, with several shopping centres close by, such as Langeverwacht Plein, Soneike Mall and Zevenwacht Mall as well as a Netcare Private Hospital.” Schools within easy reach are De Kuilen Primary and Secondary Schools and Mikro Primary, while there are also two schools for children with special needs – Jan Kriel School and Alta Du Toit School.

The developer offers buyers a choice of nine different house plans, eight of which are double-storey and all with double garages. The designs incorporate upmarket features and fittings including en-suite bathrooms, guest toilet, scullery and a covered veranda area with built-in braai facilities. House sizes, excluding the covered verandas, vary from 147 to 219 square metres.

The estate will have good, controlled access with 24-hour manned security, efficiently-managed home owners’ association, affordable levies, strict building guidelines and well-maintained open and common areas. 

Adds Psotta: “Die Wingerd Security Estate is already in an advanced stage of development with the security perimeter wall surrounding the property completed and electrified. All plots have been serviced and internal roads constructed, while the entrance/security building has been completed. The first house, which initially will be used as a showhouse and marketing office, is in the final stage of completion.”
