Strong demand for rentals at Metropolis on Park in Sandton

Metropolis on Park, Barrow Properties’ iconic apartment building in the heart of Sandton, has caught the eye of the rental market.

Demand for furnished apartments is particularly strong, reports Kent Gush of Kent Gush Properties. “Rental prices for one- and two-bedroom apartments range from R28 000 to R45 000 per month,” he says.

Penthouses fetch even more attractive rentals: with a rental demand for senior executive living space, we are in the process of renting out a second penthouse.

Gush is not surprised at the building’s enormous appeal for tenants. He points out that many of the apartments are being leased by international corporates seeking a pied-a-terre for seconded staff living in Africa’s business hub. “Metropolis on Park is perfectly positioned for employees of the major corporates which have made Sandton their home. And, for those that are stationed a little further afield, the Gautrain station is just a short walk away.”

This central location is key to an urban lifestyle, which most international expatriates have become accustomed to in their home countries.

Added to this the weaker rand makes Metropolis On Park’s luxury lifestyle affordable to international investors and tenants alike. Key features in this regard include finishes such as integrated Miele appliances, Hans Grohe taps and Geberit sanitaryware. Magnificent views over Sandton’s Mushroom Park create a pocket of peace in the urban setting, while interiors mirror this tranquillity with stylish design by Lianne Scher of Lianne Landman Designs.

A number of conveniences and special services have been included as part of the building’s offering; a nod to the executive status of its residents. These include private meeting and dining rooms, a fibre optic backbone to ensure super quick connectivity, full back-up power and reserve water tanks, a 24-hour reception desk, gym and 17.5m lap pool. Metropolis on Park’s new coffee shop, Open on Park, is another draw card, offering fresh, seasonal meals with free WiFi connectivity – perfect for casual meetings, or when a quick bite is the only break you’ll enjoy in the midst of a busy day.

“Comfort, luxury and, most of all, convenience – Metropolis On Park has all the ingredients needed to help residents meet the demands of a fast-paced, urban lifestyle,” Gush concludes.
