Dream Homes: Clocktower Penthouse in San Francisco

Situated in the picturesque San Francisco this penthouse apartment made our list of must-see homes - and not just because of its hefty $8.5 million price tag.

This incredible penthouse loft in the Clock Tower Building at 461 Second Street is currently listed through Sotheby’s and dates back to 1907.

The tower, which was once home to the Max Schmidt Lithograph Corporation, was remodelled by architect David Baker and the McKenzie, Rose, & Halliday development firm in 1993 - during this remodel the current (and only) owners, Tom and Carol Burkhart, of the penthouse lived across the road when the penthouse went on sale.

The penthouse was redone in 2013 and features two bedrooms, two bathrooms and 278m² of living space. The interiors are decked out in hardwood and concrete floors, exposed brick walls and a wraparound deck. However, the breathtaking views are the showstoppers here - we can just imagine how incredible a sunset would look from up there!
