New development launches in Northriding

With the demand for good value-for-money properties in the Northgate area vastly outstripping the current supply available, a new development called Northgate Heights has been launched to the public.




Robbie Kreser, Broker/Owner of RE/MAX Executive Group who is marketing the development, says that with the current strong demand for property that is well-placed within proximity to sought-after amenities, he expects that Northgate Heights will be extremely popular among property buyers and investors looking to add to their current portfolios. “Not many areas within the Johannesburg region provide as many amenities in such close range, while still offering homes that are affordable for first-time buyers. Northgate Heights is located within walking distance to the Northgate Shopping Centre, a major retail and lifestyle hub. It is also close to the Coca Cola dome, which hosts a number of premier events throughout the year. Aside from the amenities in the area, Kreser says that another draw card of the development will be the 24-hour security. Regional Director and CEO of RE/MAX of Southern Africa, Adrian Goslett, says properties which offer security features and that are close to amenities are highly sought after and, as a result, offer investors excellent returns. “Security is one of the most common reasons why South African buyers choose the homes they purchase. It is a driving force behind both property buying decisions as well as the appreciation potential of property,” says Goslett.

According to Kreser the units within Northgate Heights are expertly designed and high-end, yet are still affordable apartments that range from one bedroom, one bathroom to three bedrooms, two bathrooms. The apartments range from 62m2 in size to around 96m2 depending on the arrangement. He adds that pricing for the one bedroom, one bathroom configuration starts at around R699 000, while two bedroom, two bathroom units are priced from R995 000, three bedroom, two bathroom units are priced from R1.295 million and exclusive loft apartments start from R1.17 million.

“For investors who want to purchase a unit in the development as part of a rental portfolio, RE/MAX Exclusive will let and manage the unit so they won’t have any additional admin to worry about. As part of the management service, we will vet potential tenants to ensure that the right tenant is selected. Tenant selection is a vital aspect when deciding to let out an investment property,” says Kreser.

He notes that there are several facilities that are in the pipeline for Northgate Heights which will further add to its lifestyle appeal. These include an onsite restaurant, a micro-brewery, a clubhouse with recreational room, a picnic area and a gym. Kreser says that the entire development will also be Wi-Fi enabled. “Northgate Heights is the ideal development for buyers who want to enjoy a great lifestyle in a modern home that is well-positioned and has all the things they need right on their doorstep,” Kreser concludes.
